Nice to meet you, I am
Anthony Colonello, MA
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (Ontario)
Registered Provisional Psychologist (Alberta)
Founder & Therapist
Virtual (Ontario & Alberta) and In Person
I’m the owner of DeNovo Psychotherapy and a practicing therapist. I have a dual registration in Alberta & Ontario as a: Registered Provisional Psychologist (Alberta), and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in Ontario. I hold a M.A. in Counselling Psychology and I’m currently completing a PhD at Western University, focusing on mental health promotion.
Before starting my psychotherapy practice, I gained extensive experience in frontline mental health settings. In addition to private practice, I also work as a clinician therapist at the Centre for Mental Health and Addictions (CAMH), where I conduct assessments and lead psychoeducation groups.
How I can help
I provide Individual psychotherapy. I draw from various modalities (primarily psychodynamic, emotion-focused, and sensorimotor) to support your unique needs. My work focuses on attachment, neglect, and abandonment, helping you navigate their emotional and psychological impacts. I also am skilled in supporting high performers in maintaining success while prioritizing mental well-being. Whether you’re managing anxiety, depression, ADHD, BPD, OCD, or mood-related challenges—or simply seeking support for life’s stressors—therapy can help.
